Chexy ranked second on Canada's 2026 Technology Fast 50 list after reporting revenue growth of 23,183% from 2022 to 2025.

The Toronto financial technology company said the ranking reflects its expansion from rent rewards into a broader range of consumer and business payment services. It has processed more than $2 billion in payments and delivered more than $35 million in rewards.

Chexy began by offering consumers rewards on rent payments, but has since expanded into everyday bills, taxes, mortgages, payroll and international transfers. It is also pushing further into corporate payments, targeting areas such as payroll, vendor payments and international wire transfers.

The shift is part of an effort to build a larger presence in Canadian financial services by serving both households and businesses. It also opens a wider market than the one in which Chexy first established itself.

Expansion Backing

Recent growth has been supported by a C$14 million Series A funding round led by Khosla Ventures. Chexy said the investment is being used to support product development, technology infrastructure and hiring.

Its hiring push is centred on Toronto, where the company is expanding across engineering, product, marketing and business development. Open senior roles include Chief Marketing Officer, Head of Credit Risk and positions across growth, marketing, product and engineering.

The Fast 50 ranking places Chexy among the country's fastest-growing technology businesses. The programme tracks growth among Canadian technology companies and is widely followed as a marker of expansion in the sector.

Liza Akhvledziani-Carew, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Chexy, said the company's growth stems from the scale of routine transactions that had offered little direct benefit to the people making them.

"We started Chexy because we saw a massive opportunity hiding in plain sight: billions of dollars moving through everyday payments with almost nothing coming back to the people making them," said Liza Akhvledziani-Carew, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Chexy.

"We proved the model with rent, and 23,183% growth tells us we're onto something much bigger. As a Deloitte alumna, being recognized by the firm where I began my career makes this a particularly meaningful full-circle moment. We're building a category-defining company that is reshaping how Canadians interact with their finances, giving people and businesses the tools to move, manage and get more from their money. And we're only getting started," Akhvledziani-Carew said.

Chexy's leadership said the company is now focused on building the systems needed to support a broader financial services platform, including its underlying technology and team.

"We're not building another payments app. We're building the financial infrastructure to change how Canadians and Canadian businesses put their money to work," said Ben Gigone, Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer of Chexy.

"That takes serious engineering talent, ambitious thinking and technology built to operate at scale. We've proven we can grow fast. Now we're building the team and the platform to go even bigger," Gigone said.

Brendan Cooper, National Technology Fast 50 Program Co-Leader, also commented on the ranking and Chexy's growth within Canada's technology sector.

"Chexy, alongside all this year's Technology Fast 50 winners, exemplifies the ingenuity, resilience and ambition that continue to define Canada's technology sector," said Brendan Cooper, National Technology Fast 50 Program Co-Leader.

"Having worked with Liza during her time at Deloitte, it's incredibly rewarding to see her now leading and growing Chexy at such an amazing rate. We're proud to celebrate what she and her team have accomplished and excited to see what comes next," Cooper said.
