Oracle has introduced Claw-powered Fusion Agentic Applications for supply chain operations as part of its Fusion Cloud Applications suite.

The software is aimed at supply chain teams handling planning, logistics and procurement. It is designed to carry out more complex work within defined permissions and controls, using Oracle's Fusion Claw execution runtime inside Fusion Cloud Applications.

Oracle describes Fusion Claw as a governed runtime for agentic applications that can reason, compute, adapt and execute work across areas including research, simulation, modelling and replanning. The system is intended to move beyond assistant-style tools by taking approved actions across supply chain processes.

The initial set of applications includes Supply Planning Allocation, Shipment Load Planning and Procurement Spend. These tools are intended to help teams assess trade-offs, compare scenarios and prepare actions for review and approval.

Supply Planning Allocation focuses on scarce materials and production capacity. It evaluates production lines, work centres, finished goods and components while weighing business trade-offs to prepare allocation plans for teams to review and approve.

Shipment Load Planning focuses on transportation decisions. The application assesses consolidation options across timing, capacity, service commitments and cost, then works towards execution plans that have already been authorised.

Procurement Spend is designed to analyse supplier agreements, purchasing data and wider spending patterns. It is intended to identify maverick spend and contract leakage, explain root causes, quantify possible savings and recommend corrective actions for review.

Broader push

The launch is part of Oracle's wider effort to build what it describes as agentic applications across its business software portfolio. The company says these are outcome-based systems in which customers define objectives, authority and accountability, while the software coordinates the process to reach those outcomes within set parameters.

Fusion Claw sits alongside Oracle AI Agent Studio for Fusion Applications, which Oracle positions as a development and management environment for agentic applications. Customers can use no-code and pro-code tools in the studio to create and manage applications using Oracle, partner and external agents.

Oracle also highlighted built-in observability, return on investment measurement and safety controls. These features are intended to help organisations monitor agent activity, apply safeguards and manage operations at scale.

The supply chain announcement reflects a growing focus among enterprise software vendors on automating more operational decisions, rather than limiting AI tools to drafting, search or recommendation tasks. In supply chains, where planning and logistics decisions often involve changing constraints on inventory, transport and supplier commitments, software vendors are increasingly trying to show that AI can handle multistep execution as well as analysis.

Oracle says the new applications run on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and use large language models as part of their operation. They also draw on data within Oracle Fusion Applications, which span functions including finance, human resources, supply chain, manufacturing, sales, service and marketing.

S.Y. Shenoy, Senior Vice President of Applications Development at Oracle, said the new tools are intended to give supply chain leaders a more connected view across key operational areas.

"As supply chain conditions shift, leaders need a connected view across product, planning, procurement, logistics, and cost to make faster, better-informed decisions," Shenoy said.

He said the applications are designed to support governed action across important supply chain processes.

"With Claw-powered Fusion Agentic Applications for supply chain operations, supply chain teams can reimagine the way they work by moving to governed action across critical supply chain processes. The applications reason across Oracle Fusion Applications data, evaluate options and trade-offs, coordinate the work required to meet business objectives, and carry approved actions into execution. This will help supply chain leaders drive stronger business outcomes with greater speed, consistency, and confidence," he said.
