Verde Digital hires Chloe Steele as new SEO Manager

Thu, 22nd Jan 2026

Verde Digital has appointed former PrettyLittleThing Assistant SEO Manager Chloe Steele as SEO Manager, as the London-based agency adds senior expertise in organic search for fashion, retail and eCommerce clients.

Steele joins with more than seven years of experience across SEO, App Store Optimisation and digital marketing. She has worked in both agency and in-house roles. Her sector background includes fashion, jewellery, fitness and hospitality.

At Verde Digital, Steele takes responsibility for SEO strategy across parts of the client base. She will lead on client communications and work with the agency's SEO and content teams on planning and delivery.

The agency works with fashion and lifestyle brands including Adanola, Paul Smith, Jaded London and The Couture Club.

PrettyLittleThing experience

Steele's most recent role was Assistant SEO Manager at PrettyLittleThing. She worked on SEO across multiple international markets. She also took responsibility for establishing the company's App Store Optimisation strategy.

The company said her work included a more than 50% year-on-year uplift in non-brand clicks in the US market. It also cited a 35% increase in non-brand organic clicks globally.

Verde Digital described Steele's experience as including trend-led SEO strategy and technical audits for large eCommerce sites. It also pointed to work on international SEO, content localisation, and cross-channel organic performance across web and app.

The hire comes as fashion retailers place greater emphasis on search visibility as customer acquisition costs shift and platforms change. Brands also face more complex technical requirements across large catalogues, international sites and mobile experiences.

Agency plans

In her new role, Steele said she looked forward to returning to an agency environment.

"I'm most excited about stepping back into an agency environment and working with the talented team here at Verde. Joe and the team have been incredibly welcoming, and I'm really looking forward to learning lots and continuing to develop in the role. I'm also excited to work with fashion brands I genuinely love and engage with as a consumer, which makes the work even more rewarding," said Chloe Steele, SEO Manager, Verde Digital.

Verde Digital Founder Joe Hale said the appointment formed part of the agency's approach to staffing as it grows.

"Chloe's depth of experience in fashion and eCommerce SEO, combined with her strong technical and strategic skill set, makes her a fantastic addition to the team. She has worked at scale, understands the commercial pressures faced by modern retail brands, and brings a level of insight that will directly benefit our clients," said Joe Hale, Founder, Verde Digital.

Hale also pointed to further hiring investment.

"Her appointment reinforces our commitment to delivering best-in-class organic growth for our clients and continuing to invest in senior talent as we scale the agency," said Hale.

Verde Digital said it expects demand for specialist fashion SEO work to continue, including international expansion activity, app-first approaches, and changes in search behaviour.
