Tue, 30th Sep 2025

Humanforce has appointed Aaron Thorne as Chief Sales Officer, with the new executive set to lead global sales strategies for the human capital management provider as it targets further international expansion.

Aaron Thorne joins Humanforce following a period as Managing Director for APAC at UKG. With over two decades of experience in enterprise sales and leadership, Thorne brings expertise in commercial operations within workforce-heavy sectors. His role at Humanforce will focus on broadening the company's commercial reach and supporting frontline-focused industries including aged care, childcare, retail, hospitality, events, stadia, local government, and education across multiple markets.

According to Humanforce, Thorne's track record includes scaling business operations, building trusted partnerships, and delivering customer-centric outcomes for organisations managing large workforces. He is recognised for leading teams that implement workforce management solutions in fast-paced and people-centric environments.

Humanforce Chief Executive Officer Clayton Pyne said the appointment comes at a significant moment for the company, which now manages employees for more than 2,300 customers and is approaching the one million employee milestone globally.

"We are thrilled to welcome Aaron Thorne to the Humanforce executive leadership team. Aaron's deep understanding of what it takes to support and empower frontline workers, combined with his strong sales leadership in complex, large-scale environments, makes him the ideal person to lead our global commercial efforts. As we continue to expand, his insight will be vital in ensuring that our solutions deliver real value for our customers - both in terms of business performance and employee experience."

Thorne's background encompasses extensive work in the Asia-Pacific region, where he has driven adoption of workforce and people management technologies tailored to the challenges of large-scale, compliance-driven organisations.

"What excites me most about joining Humanforce is its position as the largest frontline-focused, enterprise-grade, full-suite HCM vendor in Australia," said Aaron Thorne. "By uniting Workforce Management, HR, Benefits, Talent, and Payroll into a single seamless solution, Humanforce not only helps organisations navigate complex compliance environments - it also unlocks labour productivity, optimises costs, and elevates the employee experience.
"I've long admired how, through smart M&A and product innovation, Humanforce has consistently tackled the hardest challenges facing frontline-heavy industries. The opportunity to scale that impact on a global level and establish Humanforce as the leader in frontline HCM is one I couldn't resist," Thorne concludes.

The company's portfolio includes a range of human capital management services covering workforce management, human resources, payroll, benefits, and talent management. Humanforce currently has a base of operations spanning Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, the Philippines, and the United States. Its clientele ranges across several key markets, including Story House Early Learning, Flight Centre, Southern Cross Care, Norwich City Football Club, and Vodafone.

The appointment comes as organisations managing large frontline workforces continue to face challenges around workforce management and compliance. Humanforce states that Thorne's leadership will play a central role in helping organisations tackle these complexities as the company moves forward with its international growth objectives.
